It was great to see all the effort shown by the Ladies!

Fashion Show!

The clubhouse décor was just amazing. Thanks to all the willing hands who helped decorate the clubhouse, donated décor, and helped set it all up!

Saturday was a big welcoming evening, including a fashion show organised by Irene Schanda & Southbroom ProShop. It turned into quite a party with Ricky Muso playing some really great music. The  famous Southbroom Pizzas were really tasty, friends re-united and we were off to an exciting start.

The Top 6!

The rest of our Fashionable leaderboard!

A little panic from my side as we woke up Sunday morning to rain but there was no need to worry as it cleared for my golf clinic at 09:00 and the shotgun start at 10:00. Morag Magnussen and Tessa Granger from Cape Town set the pace with 39 points, winning day one. They actually lead from start to finish, closing with a fabulous 46 points on day three and winning overall by six points from Michelle van der Hoek and Janet Lehmann.

There was a real party at Sunday’s evening function after day 1 with a much-anticipated show put on by the Southbroom ladies, including myself, Dane and Gavin. Special guest appearances from Canadian singer Shania Twain, Adam Levine and the Maroon 5 pop rock band, and the Goddess of pop, Cher, added to the fun. The show was directed by Deanne Purtell from Realty1 Southbroom. It very much set the tone of the evening and the tournament with all the ladies joining in.

The various teams arrived in great fancy dress attire and spectacular fun fashion which made for a hilarious fun-filled evening. Drinks were flowing and the medley of roasts dinner was pronounced delicious, James Carlson and the Gentry band with guest singer, Princess, really amped it up for the evening. So many popular favourites were played and I have never seen such a full dance floor all night! What great Fun.   So lovely to see a full club house again!

Some weary golfers arrived the next morning for day 2, but were all ready to get out there in the beautiful weather and onto the fabulous Southbroom golf course. As the tournament went on to Day 3 both the weather and the scores got better, making for a most memorable tournament. Prizes went down to 14th place and there was a good mixture of visitors and locals on the leader board.
